Calico Top revisited

I began this sleeveless top over a year ago.  No real pattern, just knitted what I thought would fit.  I don’t remember when I finished the actual knitting but I didn’t get it seamed up until the beginning of May.

I don’t like it.

It’s too large.

I’m swimming in it.

I don’t like it.  Did I already say that?

Nobody wants to see that!!!

So I took it to the Frog Pond, ripped it out and wound all the yarn into balls.  I started knitting Sunny Day Top by Drops Design 170-32.

I hope I have enough yarn.

Button dilemma

I need help with the buttons for this sweater.  All of these buttons are in my huge button stash thanks to iPad aunt.  I don’t really want to buy any but I’m not sure which (if any of these) would look the best.  And I want to wear this sweater on Sunday…

And the last one:

This last picture is the best one for the yarn colors.  I like the mustard ones but they might be too big.  The rhinestones look great though they might be too small.  I’m leaning towards the last ones.

The kindness of friends

I finished the Kindness shawl for my BFF and she should have it in her possession by now.

Only three yards of yarn left after an extra repeat of the Horseshoe lace…

Adding to the stash

When I ordered the yarn for my BFF’s Kindness shawl, I also ordered a few more fingering weight skeins of Knit Picks yarn*.  Because you know, free shipping and all.

Plus it was on sale!!!

My friend wanted this color of Knit Picks Chroma Twist Fingering yarn (Confetti):

So to round out my order I also got some Thunderhead Stroll Tonal:

Inverness Stroll Tonal:

They look good together.

And more of the Chroma Twist Fingering in Weather Vane (2), Red Velvet, and Surf’s Up:

That should be enough to keep me satisfied until May 6.  I’m headed to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.
