When I was outside early this morning, I noticed how much these chrysanthemums were glowing.
Pepper noticed them too, and needed a closer look.
This is the third year these plants have been in the ground and they finally had some spectacular blooms.
I had almost given up on them but they came through for me. Of course I watered them a lot this summer.
I finished the first of the Easy Mosaic Socks yesterday afternoon. Yay!!
After the incident, I am so happy I persevered and got right on it. My knitting mojo is back.
I finished the one ball of the Regia Tweed at the toe and this next ball has some thin and thick parts. It’s the last of this yarn in my stash and the only one with this issue.
And not wanting to get caught up in second-sock-syndrome, I already knit the ribbing on sock number two.
I’m ready to start the pattern on the leg.
I’m glad I marked the main color (MC) and contrast color (CC) on my chart as I don’t want to get mixed up again.
Yesterday was my BIRTHDAY!
I’m TWO!
I don’t know exactly what that means but Mom and Dad sang a song to me.
I got some really cool presents. Three new squeaky balls. I love squeaky balls. Some treats that help keep my breath sweet and teeth clean. A retractable leash (not that cool as I like to run around) but it’s my favorite color – red. Mom said my other present will be late as it’s personalized. That’s OK because it’s also red!
Mom was secretly making something special, and I mean SPECIAL for me. It smelled so good.
They called it a rice cake but there was some chicken mixed in and a great big 2 on the top made with peanut butter.
Of course I licked the good stuff off the top first then ate the rest of the rice.
I was pretty full so I just nibbled on some of the kibble.

If you have siblings, you might have said this when you got up from your place on a chair or the sofa. Maybe you needed to get a drink or snack. Or answer the phone (when they were still attached with a cord). Or go to the bathroom. “I get this seat when I get back.”
Mr. Aitch and I don’t have that problem.
But Pepper and I do.
I forgot to say, “I get this chair when I get back.”
