At the airport waiting for our flight enjoying a refreshment and knitting.
Please excuse the Florida heat and humidity hair.
Edit: We’re home. Finally.
The massage was wonderful. I still am have the pain in my neck but it feels so much better today.
I’m headed out the door for a holiday with my best friend. We’re going to the Amish country in Holmes County, Ohio.

A few years ago Mr. Aitch gave me a certificate for a massage.
I kept forgetting to call for an appointment. I have had a knot in my neck for about 10 days. I’m going on a holiday with my best friend tomorrow and I don’t want to deal with this pain in my neck.
So I called and made an appointment for a massage.
This afternoon.
At 2:00.
Because that’s the only time they had open.
I’ll be leaving work early.
Because I deserve it.
Goodbye pain in the neck.
I attended a conference in New Orleans the week before the Super Bowl.
We had a great time though I was stuck inside most of the time.
I’ve learned in the past that I can’t concentrate on knitting on an airplane. I managed to knit an Olive Oil Drip Catcher at the airport but that’s all the knitting I did.
And I don’t even have a photo of it!
Our hotel was on the corner of Canal and Bourbon streets.
We were a block away from the 49er’s hotel.
We saw the Mighty Mississippi.
Walked down Bourbon Street. Some buildings were all decked out in Mardi Gras colors.
Visited the French Market in the French Quarter.
Saw lots of the Super Bowl hype but no players.
Mr. Aitch sampled local beers.
Beads? Yes, we got beads. I won’t tell you how we got them. I wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone. =)
We ate jambalaya, crawdads, Po Boys, shrimp roumalade, hush puppies…
…and of course beignets at Cafe Du Monde.
