Yesterday was the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere and we knew it had arrived!
I managed to stay outside for a full 5 minutes before I turned into a melting, dripping mess. So much for finishing my secret painting project.
I did rip out the offending four rows of my secret knitting project. The red yarn was too kinky to use so I dampened it to get the kinks out so it will be easier to knit. Worked like a charm.
We have a meeting this evening about 50 minutes away. I won’t be driving so I might be able to knit in the car but that depends on who’s driving. Maybe I can find my knitting mojo on the road.
Mr. Aitch and I were treated to a wonderful light show last evening courtesy of a terrific line of thunderstorms making their way towards us. Of course when he took the camera outside to get some photos, Mother Nature decided to not cooperate.

As forthe storms…..I was in bed when they rolled thru here….and fast asleep.
I sent the storms. You’re welcome. We had some real doozies yesterday but we were treated to a really bright rainbow in the western sky yesterday morning.
Not much thunder – no lightning – but it rained a lot. Everything was dry by morning. Had my grass mowed this moiring,
