More slippers

On one of the many trips to iPad aunts house last summer Mr Aitch and I stayed with his brother and wife. We both wore our seamless slippers.

They are easy to pack and easy to slip on.  Mr. Aitch’s brother joked that he wanted a pair so….

I made a pair for him and his wife.

They are Steeler and Penguin fans hence the black and gold.

And I just had to make pom-poms.  Who doesn’t want pom-poms on their slippers?

Labeled

Earlier this year I designed and purchased sew-in labels for things that I make.

Labels

Sometimes I got the labels sewn in,

Bag-labels

Open-cover

iPad-label-Pat3sometimes I forgot, and sometimes I couldn’t figure out how or where to attach them so I left them off.

So where or how would one attach a label?  That’s why I left them off.

Redeemed

I need to mention that I just got a new camera and am still getting used to it.

Remember last week when I mentioned that the one and only local yarn shop was going out of business?  I went downtown on Saturday and redeemed my gift certificate.

Cascade 220 in Misty Lilac Heather and Shrimp.  Another garter-stitch bag?

001-Yarn

Or maybe one with these colors. Celery Heather and Smoke.

002-Yarn

Cascade Fingering weight yarn Ember Heather (I bought the last one) and Walnut Heather for socks?

003-Yarn

Lullaby, Sunburst Gold, French Clay, Snow, and Pepper Nature Spun Sport for knitted animals

004-Yarn

I had my eye on some other yarns so I’ll be checking back hoping for a bigger discount.

One of the sales people mentioned to another customer that someone is interested in buying the shop and wanted all the old inventory out so the new owner could stock whatever they wanted.

GOOB Sale

I don’t believe it.  My local yarn shop is going out of business.

Millicent’s Yarn and More has been here for 13 years and the availability of “good” yarn is what got me back into serious knitting.

Doors close on April 4 so there is still time to use up the remainder of my gift certificate.

Maybe someone else will see the need for a quality yarn shop…
