Inconvenienced

First of all I will be posting about our recent trip to New Orleans once I get some pictures off my phone.

calendar genericToday I’d like to thank the person or persons who stole my credit card number and tried to make a few purchases.  Fortunately the credit card issuer thought the purchases were fraudulent and thus denied the transactions from taking place.  My credit card has now been cancelled and I will be issued a new card.

In 5-7 business days.

So I guess all my purchases will be with cash for the next several days.

This could be a good thing as I don’t usually carry much cash with me.  I can’t spend what I don’t have.cash pile

On the other hand I use my credit card to fill my gas tank.  And I never have THAT much cash with me.

Since my last post…

Our daughter delivered her baby boy three weeks early.  He arrived on January 17 at 11:43 am.  6 pounds 10 ounces.  20 inches long.

We brought the twins home with us for a few days so our daughter could get some much-needed rest.  I missed three days of work last week helping out and had to go back to work this week but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun in the evenings.  We made banana bread Tuesday evening.

Tonight they took a shower.  They love to take a shower in our bathroom but I didn’t want them to get their hair wet tonight so they wore some shower caps I picked up from some hotels where I’ve stayed.  They thought wearing shower caps was the BEST thing ever!

Travel plans

Mr. Aitch and I will be going to New Orleans in a few weeks and since we’ve never been there, I was hoping for some suggestions as to where we should eat, things to do and places explore.

We’re not going for the Super Bowl.  Instead I have a conference there and now that Mr. Aitch is semi-retired, he’s going with me.

Any one been there that could offer some useful tips?

Thanks in advance!

It’s a love-hate relationship

Lasagna, that is.

I love to eat it but hate to make it.

At lunch today I suggested to Mr. Aitch that we either have spaghetti or baked ziti for dinner tonight.  He said that he was hoping we could have lasagna.

Well, baked ziti and lasagna are basically the same thing but with a different shaped pasta so I had all the ingredients for either one.

And since I love Mr. Aitch, we had lasagna.

With Italian bread.

A simple salad.

And, of course, wine.  =)
