See that orange stitch holder? I dropped a stitch waaay back 12 rows just at beginning of the heel flap.
It looks farther down into the sock than it really is. I hope I don’t have to rip it back into the leg but just to the row with the orphaned stitch.
Good thing I like this yarn and love my daughter or I wouldn’t be too happy with this pair of socks right now.

It’s Knit Picks Stroll hand dyed fingering weight. It’s a great sock yarn. I really just need to pay attention to what I’m knitting and not try to watch a video on my tablet.

I don’t generally watch video – books on tape, or something on the radio – sound without the visual distraction. Or sitting with other knitters, although I socialize more and knit less! But mistakes are rare.

I have the stitch memorized but things went sideways when I began the heel flap. It’s those purl rows after the knit 1, slip 1 rows that cause dropped stitches for me. That and watching Miss Marple…

Shhh, I’ve been known to simply take a needle and thread and tack that stitch to the surrounding stitches rather than dig back for it.
