I am addicted to knitting these coasters! Click here for the pattern.
I’m trying to use up most of my Sugar and Cream cotton yarn. But I needed more of some colors.
These coasters coördinate with the colors in the chairs I reupholstered last year and since I LOVE those colors together, I had to add to my yarn stash. Right?
I already had the Hot Green, Soft Ecru and Sage so I just bought Beach Glass, Robin’s Egg Blue and Bright Navy. The red just jumped into my basket at the last minute. Oops!
Beach Glass (cool blue) and Robin’s Egg Blue (warm blue) were too close together in color to use as a contrast in one coaster so they will be kept separate.
One coaster takes about two hours to knit. I have made some larger sizes but the five-inch coaster is so quick…plus I don’t have to count as much as a larger one.
Are 14 coasters enough? I still have more yarn and an addiction!
Lovely!
