Mr. Aitch’s niece is expecting a baby boy in July and the baby shower was last Saturday. I already posted about the quilt I made so here are the rest of the gifts.
Included are one dozen burp cloths that coördinate with the quilt. Because ALL babies want to be coördinated. =)
Three pieces of grey and white flannel: stars, diamonds, and buffalo check.
Mixed and matched for variety.
A baby sized dopp bag (box bag) for pacifiers, ointments, cotton swabs, or any other item that needs to be corralled inside a diaper bag made with leftover fabric from the quilt.
And a larger box bag for, well, larger things, also from leftover quilt fabric.
I love those bears!
Both bags together.
Everything goes well together!
My friend commissioned a box bag. I emailed her some fabric choices and she told me what she liked but to surprise her with the final selection.
So I experimented with a two-tone bag.
I like to coordinate the lining with the outer prints and didn’t want to run to the fabric store (only to be disappointed).
So I printed my own.
With a star rubber stamp and Sharpie “Stained” fabric marker.
Random stars on plain fabric.
I love how it turned out.
Added a little bling and a care tag.

The box bags I talked about yesterday will be with hand sanitizer, purse-sized tissue pack, a bottle of water, a package of peanut butter cookies, and Tastykakes.*** If you’ve never had a Tastykake, you’re missing out on some fabulous goodness. My favorites are the Butterscotch Krimpets and the Cream Filled Buttercream Cup Cakes.
***I did not receive any compensation nor am I a paid spokesperson for TastyKake. I just wish I was.
