Living and crafting between the hot flashes

Pain in the neck

A few years ago Mr. Aitch gave me a certificate for a massage.

certificate

I kept forgetting to call for an appointment.  I have had a knot in my neck for about 10 days. I’m going on a holiday with my best friend tomorrow and I don’t want to deal with this pain in my neck.

So I called and made an appointment for a massage.

This afternoon.

At 2:00.

Because that’s the only time they had open.

I’ll be leaving work early.

Because I deserve it.

Goodbye pain in the neck.

Purple and lavender sandals

Two things about my feet today:

feet

1. I desperately need a pedicure.

2. I don’t usually wear these purple and lavender sandals out of the house but in my haste to leave for work this morning, I forgot the change into real shoes.

Oops!

Tomatoes

I used to plant my tomato plants in the back of the house.  The problem was that it didn’t get the direct sun for part of the day.  And deer or other critters would get into them.

This year I planted them in the front flower beds.  They do flower, right?

I have a variety of five different plants maturing at different times.

I picked these four little grape tomatoes today but there will be more later.

Here’s some Roma.  Looks like they will be ready soon.

And the whole crew.

Yes, I know I need to pull some of the grass and weeds out of there.

A slow day

It’s a slow day at the office.

Most people took the day off to make an extended holiday weekend.  I didn’t.

The sun was shining when I left for work and it was already 70 degrees at 7:00 AM.

So wore these.

Boots-and-helmet

What I didn’t bring with me was one of these.

Umbrella

The view outside the office door.

Outside

Yes, that’s rain on the door.  And a big, black rain cloud.

The view of the parking lot.

Bike

And another one.

See it?

How about now?

I sure hope it clears up by the time I’m ready to leave….  Or it’s going to be a wet ride home.
