Late post

Well, it’s late for me.

Yesterday as I was sitting and knitting on the Peony Twist cardigan, I mentioned to Mr. Aitch that the only good thing about being sick over the Spring Forward clock-changing weekend is that one is already off schedule so one wouldn’t miss the hour of sleep.

Well, who heard their alarm go off this morning and fell back asleep only to wake up 15 minutes before she had to actually Be. At. Work?

b-r-r-i-i-i-i-n-n-n-n-g-g-g-g!

Yeah.

I was 45 minutes late and stayed an extra half hour to make up for it.  The assistant director told me not to worry about it.  We don’t punch a time-clock and he notices when I stay late some days.

Plus he was late today, too.  No judgements, just saying.

I know Murphy

“If something can go wrong, it will.”  Murphy’s Law

After my bout with pneumonia in January, my doctor advised me to get the pneumonia vaccine.  So I did.  On Monday.

This isn't me. I never look at the needle.

I don’t usually have bad reactions to shots but this one hurts.  My under arm is very tender.  It feels like I have on a shirt three sizes too small and it’s cutting into my armpit.

I propped my arm up and knit a few rows last night.

My throat is sore, too.

I woke up at 4:17 this morning and couldn’t get back to sleep.  This is going to be a long day…

I hope it soon gets better.

Distance

My daughter and the twins spent the weekend with us.

"E"

"Z"

We baked cookies, played with shrinky dinks, sewed dresses for the twins and made polymer clay buttons.

They went home on Monday and I went into my I-miss-them-so-much mood.

They live three hours away but the distance sucks.  I wish we lived closer so we could see each other more often.  We have a lot of fun together.

Fresh

Yesterday I got a surprise at work from Mr. Aitch:

One dozen red roses

My office smells so lovely and fresh.  The sun was even shining for part of the day.  Spring is on its way.

However, winter isn’t quite ready to leave just yet.  Yesterday started out at 51 degrees but by 2:00 pm we had rain mixed with sleet and snow and 34 degrees.  Yuck.

This morning it was 24 degrees.  Cold enough for my new hat!
