An expensive piece of candy

I love chocolate.

I love caramel.

And I love chocolate covered caramels.

One piece of this cost me $90.

SourceHow? I usually savor a piece of candy rather than chew it. I try to let it melt in my mouth so it lasts and lasts. But Tuesday afternoon I bit into the candy and chewed it. A crown on a tooth popped off! Fortunately, I didn’t damage the crown where it needed to be replaced. The dentist just cleaned it up and cemented it back on…for $90.

Mr. Aitch and I had shrimp on the grill Saturday night and had some leftover. Not enough for another meal but enough for something.

So I put on my thinking cap and came up with a version of Shrimp Alfredo using ingredients that I had on hand: low-fat cream cheese, Romano cheese, milk, garlic powder, red peppers, and egg noodles. And of course, the shrimp seasoned with Old Bay. We also had a fresh garden salad.

And wine. Always wine.

I decided to write down the recipe after we tasted it. Yummy!
