Winter Storm Ember brought about 6-7 inches of snow to our area over the weekend.
Pepper got to wear her new sweater outside to play in the snow.

She followed Mr. Aitch down the driveway behind the snowblower. But she ventured out into the snow soon after that.
It was snowing pretty heavily before he finished. This was the last part and it’s already starting to get covered again.
Pepper does not have booties on. That is snow caked in her hair! It took 20 minutes with the hairdryer to get all those icy clumps out!

Maverick was seriously pissed that I wouldn’t let him run around off lead in the snow. Oh well, baby boy, your recall is good but I’m not sexier than a deer. 🙂 How much snow did you get? We ended up with maybe 4 inches and it’s all but gone now – my favorite kind of snow, the kind that doesn’t stick around!

We got about 6-8 inches total. It’s melting now with temps in the 40s. We’re under a flood watch with rain heading our way tomorrow.

Flood watch here too. I don’t worry about that much – I live on a hill – but high winds on Wednesday worry me. I live in the woods.

Same here. We live on a hill with trees around us.

Do you live with me? 😁. We also have a creek at the bottom of the hill so the driveway will flood if it’s bad enough

Our creek (Turner Run) dries up in the summer but can be swift with enough rain. In the 30 years we’ve lived here, it’s not flooded its banks to the road…yet.

Ours is at the bottom of the hill – actually between two hills so it just overflows. There have been times when the driveway was impassable.

I checked back in SW Ohio. They only got a dusting and it’s all gone. I loved snowy days now that I’m retired. Nothing better than a fire in the fireplace, hot cocoa, and knitting.

I think you’re going to get more rain, too.

Pepper!! You are so cute! We received about 12″. Carver went out and played and played and played! He came in with large snowballs hanging from his rear floof! He sat in front of the fire and melted, then got up and went right back out again!

Yay, Carver! We could have fun in the snow. Mama and Daddy don’t like it when I get covered in snow. You have a good Mama who lets you dry off naturally in front of the fire. I don’t like to be still when they try to dry me off. I should tell them to get a place for fire for me!

Carver knows he needs to sit nicely when I dry him off then he gets a biscuit. There is always a give to get, dear Pepper.
