I started the Botanical Yoke sweater for Pepper last week. The pattern begins with the “sleeves” which are put “on hold” and then begin the main sweater from the bottom up.
The sleeves are finished; I’m on the fourth row/round of the body.

It’s been cold here the past few days so when I put her old sweater on her, I realized it was way too small. She wore it anyway.
I’m trying to knit this quickly but with DK yarn and size 4 needles, it’s not as quick as a worsted sweater on larger needles. Plus there are all the other things I have/want/need to do…

I have never seen a sweater constructed this way. I will follow your progress with interest!

Check out the Wonderful Wallaby – it’s made this way. You make the whole thing on circular needles, the only seam is a few stitches where you join the sleeves to the body. That’s a fun sweater to make!

I have heard of that one. That’s a classic. I’ll check it out.

So many projects, so little time! I’m almost done with a corner to corner blanket, and my nephew requested potholders, scrubbies and a scarf. Well, geez, I can’t refuse him anything really, so out came the crochet hook and how the heck long does it take to make a damned potholder anyway? (Longer than I planned) Knitting has been slow lately, some shoulder issues, but I can crochet. Looking forward to seeing this sweater completed!

I want to do too many things. The broken arm really put a hold on all my knitting and sewing projects.
Why is it that all our projects take twice as long to complete than we think?

Thank you! The color is called rhubarb. An acquired taste but I love it. Reminds me of Gram.

This is my first time knitting with this yarn. I’m loving it! It has nice stitch definition and doesn’t split! And the color is beautiful. Too bad I’m at least an hour away from the closest Michael’s store where I could see more colors. Of course that could be a good thing, too. 😉
