Pepper’s sweater

I started the Botanical Yoke sweater for Pepper last week. The pattern begins with the “sleeves” which are put “on hold” and then begin the main sweater from the bottom up.

The sleeves are finished; I’m on the fourth row/round of the body.

It’s been cold here the past few days so when I put her old sweater on her, I realized it was way too small. She wore it anyway.

I’m trying to knit this quickly but with DK yarn and size 4 needles, it’s not as quick as a worsted sweater on larger needles. Plus there are all the other things I have/want/need to do…

  1. So many projects, so little time! I’m almost done with a corner to corner blanket, and my nephew requested potholders, scrubbies and a scarf. Well, geez, I can’t refuse him anything really, so out came the crochet hook and how the heck long does it take to make a damned potholder anyway? (Longer than I planned) Knitting has been slow lately, some shoulder issues, but I can crochet. Looking forward to seeing this sweater completed!

    • This is my first time knitting with this yarn. I’m loving it! It has nice stitch definition and doesn’t split! And the color is beautiful. Too bad I’m at least an hour away from the closest Michael’s store where I could see more colors. Of course that could be a good thing, too. 😉
