Well, we did it. We cut the cord to our landline and only have our cell phones for calls.
We cut the TV cable cord years ago and have been just fine without that squawk box. Quite frankly (IMHO) there wasn’t much on TV worth watching. We stream what we want to watch and can back up, pause, stop, and forward as we please.
Of course, we still have internet. That is something we would have a hard time doing without.
So many people have either used their cell phones forever and never had a landline at all or gotten rid of the landline in favor of a cell phone. 99% of our landline calls were telemarketers anyway.

Still have a landline, mostly because of our security system, but also so if the kids need to call 911, they know exactly where we are. I suppose that is probably obsolete as well, but there it is. I would LOVE to cut ties with DishNetwork, but The Man is still attached. He pretends he’s too old to understand streaming. He says he doesn’t want to have to think about what to watch on tv. Everything we watch is on Discovery+/Max, but he won’t do it.

It wasn’t hard to cut the TV cord as we hardly watched anything. It’s amazing what we do find.

I do, but never use it! Half the time it isnt even charged!!

Ditched the landline years ago when the carrier and I disagreed on how much I owed. Cell only; internet is using phone as hot spot (or, as now, at the public library); I’ve never owned a TV and can live without it. I’d rather be knitting, and do that with radio or recorded books.

I love audio books but still download some read only books from the library. I can read and knit at the same time but only if it’s a simple pattern.
I have a retro phone that has buttons in place of the dial. (Actually it was my daughter’s phone when she lived at home). My one granddaughter thought it was the coolest thing she ever saw and always asked if she could use it to call home or her other grandmother whenever she stayed with us.

Yes; I still have two rotary dial phones, not connected to the real world; they are excellent conversation starters!

I don’t like reading on a device; it’s my last choice. I do go to the library to get real printed books, though!

Still have landline as it’s needed for our security system. We are able to block callers as you have to be able to put in the code before it will actually put the call through. This was great during the election robocalls.

Sometimes one needs a landline for security systems or if one lives where cell service is sketchy at best. My brother-in-law has that code feature that works great. Our cable/phone didn’t have that option.
