Sluggish

I was trying to find a nice photo of a slug for this post but after looking at several on-line, I decided there is no such thing as a “nice” photo of a slug.  They’re gross!!!

Anyway, I have not been myself for a while.  I feel sluggish.  I haven’t been posting much either.

Something (me) has to change.

I am forcing myself to attend another Zumba class that starts tomorrow evening.  Forcing myself because I hate going to these kinds of classes where everyone there has a buddy.  Except me.

This class is designed for “baby boomers” so I hope the instructor has better communication skills, like actually showing us the steps rather than saying, “Just watch me, you’ll figure it out eventually.”

I am one of those people who has to go someplace else to exercise.  I wish I wasn’t but that’s who I am.  Once my name is on the class roster, I’m committed.

As for my knitting projects I have started another e-tablet cover for Mr. Aitch.  This one WILL fit.

Another cupcake hat is complete with the cherry on top.  I will show that later as I have to make another one to fit a larger head.

  1. Ya know sometimes I think its just the season. The mid-winter, post-hoilday blahs. Nothing really wrong, but everything is meh. You are more ambitious than I am. At least you go out! I haven’t been to my knitting group in weeks now. I’ve can only go every other week and I missed the last two because I was sick. I miss it. That’s my getting out into the world escape. lol.

I really love the cupcake hat. Is that your pattern or one that is downloadable?

  2. I’m glad I have my various exercise classes. That gets me out whether I want to go or not. If I miss one, it is so easy to miss another and another and another.

Big let down after Christmas…you spend all that time getting ready…the excitement…..the cooking, baking, knitting…..but there is another holiday to get geared up for…..yes! It’s Ground Hog Day! I get a cake for work….did you order your iPad yet? I think a new toy would help you get excited! YOU DESEREVE IT! Let’s GO GIRL!!!!!!

  4. I watched Ground Hog Day last night and laughed my butt off. I had that stomach virus and learned you can’t feel too sick if you are laughing. And you can’t NOT LAUGH at Ground Hog Day. I think it’s one of the funniest movies ever.

Go to Zumba, but know that once the class stops, you’ll stop. My solution is hit the treadmill EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE and watch a movie or news or crafts dvd while doing so. I have it in the laundry room and my husband put a TV on the wall in front of it. It’s an addiction now, and probably the only thing keeping me alive. I’ve been walking this way for, perhaps, seven years. Outside doesn’t work because it’s way too hot here. Like today was 75 and sunny, and no I don’t need to see all my neighbors houses, get grabbed for a chat, and be out there with the barking dogs. I like it inside where I can wear my husband’s tee shirts and seriously old shorts with holes in them. Works for me.

  5. I don’t have the self-discipline to exercise at home. I have to go to a place. I used to dance twice a week, sometimes more. Then, we moved to a new city, and I haven’t built up my dancing places. Instead, I started going to circus school. I love it. I keep in shape, learn new things, do something exciting, make awesome friends, and feel good about it. Beats running on a tredmill to nowhere!
